How Far We’ve Come….

Greetings Kittens!

When I first started this business and designed this website, I thought the blog was going to be a fun way to talk about the wedding industry and highlight some of the cut flower business’ ups and downs.  Turns out that weddings and events keep us so busy, those ideas fly out of the window in place of more of a ‘survival mode’ mentality (especially during the height of wedding season) very quickly.

We’ve evolved in so many aspects: Both as a business, and collectively as a society in the post-covid world.  I still love to talk weddings and share ideas about the industry, but the delivery methods have changed.  Firstly, there’s social media.  Tiktok came along just a few years ago with improved ways to edit a create informative videos.  Then Facebook and IG followed suit, and Youtube just exploded.  Making social media videos is so fun and great, but it got advanced incredibly quickly!  It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and fall behind and then give up altogether. Blogs are dead now and a combination of videos and live streaming has basically eradicated them.  It’s not necessarily a bad thing.  I personally feel like I have less time and patience to read a post than to just play a video to absorb information.

But the struggle of being a very small business trying to stay on the pulse of marketing feels almost impossible unless you’ve got a team to help out.  Most of us in the wedding industry do not have teams like this.  In fact, I like to say that “The wedding industry is one of the very last markets where you can truly, truly shop local.”  The corporations are out there trying to take us down and monopolize, just like they have in many other markets, but our industry has been resilient.  So we will continue to evolve at whatever pace we can- even if it is slow.  All of this to say: “Sorry it’s been years since there’s been a blog post”, and “Here are a few other ways to find us and learn more going forward.”

Here, we will be continuing the Summer Bouquet Subscription program and have kept it at the same price despite the price of every other thing in the world increasing.  You can learn about and purchase a subscription HERE
